PULSE & BAR
About Pulse & Bar
Small tools for the space between hearing a beat and working with it.
One pulse, three useful tasks
Pulse & Bar is an independent collection of free browser tools for musicians, learners and music makers. Tap a pulse, carry its tempo into a practice session, or convert it into note durations for an effect. Each page explains the calculation and what the result cannot tell you.
This is an early working release, version 1.1.3, prepared on 31 October 2026. The site is published at pulseandbar.com. No school, instrument maker, audio company or certification body sponsors these tools. There are no testimonials, memberships or paid upgrades.
How the tools are made
The interfaces, calculators and guides were developed for this project with AI assistance and checked with automated calculations and browser tests. They are not a substitute for a teacher’s assessment or the documentation of your audio equipment. No musician’s biography or professional credential is implied.
There is no microphone access, track identification or audio upload. Tap times and playback settings are processed in your browser. The methodology explains the conventions. Use Contact to leave a correction or describe a problem, including your browser and the steps that produced it.
Keeping it available
Google AdSense is installed for site review and its certified consent messages. Ad requests are paused while approval is pending, so this release does not display ads. No audience analytics is installed. If approved, advertising can support operation while leaving the core tools free to use.
